Our edible forest

The Mitre 10 edible garden make over

This was a special occasion for our community. Parents, grandparents, friends and children from Onerahi gathered to plant and construct an edible forest.

Room 2 got to work alongside Mitre 10 to plant, weed and build. In the afternoon we had speakers and a Waiata and Matua Henry blessed the garden.

Thanks to everyone who made it a great day. A special thank you to Diane a mum from room 2 who wrote to Mitre 10 for us so we could have this opportunity. Well done to Brianna, Stacey and Ricky for being our assembly organisers.

We now can enjoy all our efforts, we look forward to the new fruit and vegetables.
